BIOPARK NEWS: University of Maryland BioPark Attracts Two New Internationally Focused Commercial Tenants

Boston, MA, June 19, 2012 – The University of Maryland BioPark announced today from the BIO International Convention that two internationally focused life science companies – Biogen Diagnostics Ltd., andGlobal Scientific Solutions for Health Inc. (GSSHealth) – have signed leases and joined the growing community of commercial tenants at the BioPark.

A United Kingdom-based company, Biogen Diagnostics plays a pioneering role in personalized healthcare and is providing the first molecular diagnostics products that are tailored to the needs of specific patient groups. GSSHealth is a USWCC-certified Woman-Owned Small Business that has been supporting the establishment of quality-assured laboratory testing for cross-continental public health programs and clinical research studies since 2008. GSSHealth currently works in six countries across South East Asia (Burma, Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Thailand and Vietnam) and supports projects in Rwanda and a project in Ethiopia that impacts the African continent as a whole.
