D.C. area biotech eyes BaltimoreBaltimore Business Journal A Montgomery county bioscience company is planning to expand to Baltimore and hopes to be up and running by next summer. Cunnick has had ongoing talks with some of Biocon's Baltimore-based customers, most notably the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland, about his plan and says he'll need commitments before he'll expand. Once a couple of signed letters of intent were in hand, he said, Biocon would move to get 10,000- to 15,000-square-feet of space up and running, at a cost to the company of less than $1 million. |
