The redevelopment of West Baltimore's downtrodden Poppleton neighborhood likely will begin within the next two years, bringing commercial, retail and about 500 homes to meet anticipated demand created by the construction of a nearby $300 million biotech park, the UMB BioPark at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
