UMB Launches Development Arm for Biotech ParkBaltimore Business Journal The University of Maryland, Baltimore has created a nonprofit company to oversee the development of its proposed biotechnology park just west of its downtown campus. President David J. Ramsay, DM, DPhil, will head the new company, named UMB Health Services Research Park Corp. The nonprofit firm has released a request for proposals to help finance, design, and build the first building, says James L. Hughes, MBA, vice president for research and development.
