New Researchers Bring $10 Million in Funding to UM Med School

The School of Medicine has hired a team of 23 biomedical scientists from the American Red Cross research and development program. The new team of researchers brings more than $10 million in annual federal funding to the School. The team will use laboratory space it is occupying in Rockville, until new lab space becomes available at the new University of Maryland BioPark upon the scheduled completion of the first building in 2005.
