The Daily Record, The WBALChannel.com, WBALRadio.com

The University of Maryland, Baltimore is moving ahead with plans to build a biotechnology park just west of its downtown campus. James L. Hughes, MBA, vice president for research and development, says that the park will consist of seven buildings designed to be between four and six stories. The park will employ about 3,000 people and will house biochemical research companies. The university hopes to break ground this fall and have the first building constructed by the end of 2004.
