The Graduate Research Innovation District (Grid) offers small, early stage companies an ideal place to grow. Contact Linda Cassard for more information or to set up a tour.
About the Grid
The Center for Maryland Advanced Ventures (CMAV) partnered with the University of Maryland Graduate School to create the Grid, a 6,000 square foot innovation space where early stage companies, graduate students, entrepreneurs, faculty, and staff connect to bring innovative health and social impact ideas to life. UM Ventures staff and on-site experts, including UMB entrepreneurs in residence, advisors with the Maryland Small Business Development Center, and faculty and students working in the University of Maryland School of Law’s Business and Intellectual Property Law Clinic, provide assistance to new companies and educational opportunities such as workshops, office hours, and programs.
The Grid will be home to the MS in Health and Social Innovation, launching in fall of 2019.
