Baltimore, MD – December 17, 2007 – Today, Wexford Science+Technology signed a letter of intent with the University of Maryland (UM) Health Sciences Research Park Corporation, the non-profit organization that manages the UM BioPark, to develop Building Three of the BioPark. The ground breaking for Building Three will be held on March 20, 2008, and construction of the core and shell will be complete in the summer of 2009.

UM BioPark is a biomedical research park in West Baltimore that is home to life sciences researchers and entrepreneurs. The two completed multi-tenant BioPark buildings boast 360,000 square feet of state-of-the-art lab and office space.  Building Three will add an additional 180,000 square feet to the park, while plans call for an eventual 1.2 million square feet in 10 life sciences buildings.

Building Two, located at the gateway to the UM BioPark, is currently leasing space as the interior reaches completion and build-outs for signed tenants begin. The six-story, 215,000 square foot building has scheduled a grand opening for early 2008.
