December figures to be an important month in the planning of the West Baltimore biotech park project at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Next month, university officials spearheading the project plan to submit their master plan and feasibility studies to Baltimore City leaders. The reports are expected to be completed by Nov. 22, said James L. Hughes, vice president for research and development at University of Maryland (http://www.umaryland.edu).
Meanwhile, city housing and economic development leaders are working on a plan to allow for the sale of the land - near the 800 and 900 blocks of West Baltimore Street - where University of Maryland plans to build its planned office space for bioscience companies.
University officials also will take their master plan before its Board of Regents in December.
