Baltimore City Community College Life Sciences Institute

The Baltimore City Community College Life Sciences Institute at the University of Maryland BioPark provides a vital link between bioscience employers and the skilled workforce they need for continued growth. Students can pursue an associate degree in science (through the Arts and Sciences Transfer program), biotechnology or environmental science. They may also earn a certificate in environmental science. Internship opportunities are available for students at BioPark companies and at the University and the Medical Center. The Life Sciences Institute can also provide customized training for employers in the areas of lab technicians, veterinary technicians and other skilled entry-level positions. The Life Sciences Institute is a key component in fulfilling Baltimore City Community College’s role as an important provider of workforce pipeline solutions in the State of Maryland.
