  • Life Sciences Conference Center

The BioPark Life Sciences Conference Center is located on the west side of the first floor of 801 W. Baltimore St. The Conference Center includes two conference rooms, Invent & Advance, with a moveable partition wall that can be opened to create one large room. The outside hallway can also be used for registration or breaks.

Each room is equipped with user friendly audio/visual equipment. Building staff are available to assist with set-up. Equipment includes:

  • LCD/Video projector for multimedia computer/DVD presentations
  • Motorized projection screens
  • Overhead audio system
  • Remote control touch panels to control the audio/visual systems
  • Wired and wireless microphones
  • Podium with integrated audio/visual elements
  • 20 arm chairs, 50 blue fabric stackable chairs
  • 25 tables, 3’ x 5’
  • Polycom conference phone with auxiliary microphones.
  • 2 85" smart TVs with sound bars on movable stands
  • 2 Owl Labs meeting cameras to support video conferencing

Conference Center users will need to rent additional tables and chairs if required for their event.

Please note that the AV system does not support Apple products.

    Discounts are available for:

    • University of Maryland, Baltimore
    • Non-profits, startups, and innovation-related organizations
    • Events free and open to the public
    • Additional discounts, sponsorship, and partnership options available for life sciences, technology, entrepreneurship, and other mission-aligned events.

    Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

    Evening Hours

    If available, the Life Sciences Conference Center may be reserved Monday - Thursday until 8:00 p.m., however, extended hours charges will be applied.

     

    Weekend Hours

    Weekend reservations are by exception only. Please submit an event request to start a conversation.

     

    Additional Charges

    Additional charges may apply: janitorial, security, setup/reset, extended hours, alternate configurations, and Operational Impact Charge for events affecting public/tenant access or building operations.

     

    Rental Period

    Setup and teardown included in rental period: 30 minutes either side for meetings; up to 2 hours either side for events. 

    Event spaces in the BioPark are not available for private celebrations including weddings, birthday parties, or similar personal events. BioPark spaces are exclusively for professional, cultural, and community gatherings.

    In addition to metered spaces in the 800 and 900 blocks of W. Baltimore St., the University of Maryland BioPark has a garage conveniently located at 1 N.
